On a recent spiritual vacation in Sicily, Malta and Malaysia, students of Sri Chinmoy offered many musical performances. These are some of the highlights of these musical recordings from early 2016. All songs are composed by Sri Chinmoy and performed using a variety of instruments – both Eastern and Western.
The performances by members of the Sri Chinmoy Centre offer a variety of interpretations, fusing both classical and Eastern traditions, but also seeking to bring out the soulfulness inherent in Sri Chinmoy’s music.

Notes on instruments
Ehru – sometimes referred to as a Chinese violin, this is a two stringed instrument, which creates a wonderful, haunting sound.
Oud – is a pear shaped stringed instrument with 11 or 12 strings. It is popular in Turkish, Persian and Greek music.
