Sri Chinmoy plays many, instruments. In fact, in one recent concert in Switzerland he played 170 instruments in 6 1/2 hours.
In most instruments, he plays his own melodies, which number more than 18,000 right now.

But in some of them, such as the piano, the organ and the synthesizer, he has the ultimate musical freedom: improvisation. There, he is not bound by following the notes of his own compositions, although that is a freedom in itself: to play your own music.
In this recording from October 17, 2005 we hear Sri Chinmoy playing the synthesizer in a concert he offered in Puerto Rico. All his concerts (more than 700 since 1984) are offered free of charge. He attempts to share with the public the energy and vibration of his meditation, a peaceful, and dynamic energy.
The synthesizer is usually the last instrument that Sri Chinmoy plays. After an hour or more of soft, delicate sounds, people are woken up by this burst of creative energy flowing from a very modern synthesizer.
And it is here, in this last offering, that the Master is free to give his utmost, his most spontaneous, intuitive performance. Enjoy!
