Sri Chinmoy’s students from all over the world perform their interpretations of Sri Chinmoy’s songs in a varied and soulful offering. The recordings are from Sri Chinmoy’s birthday celebrations, August 2012.
In this Part 1 of selections from the August 2012 Celebrations, we feature Adarsha, from Scotland, doing solo singing, as well as Adesh and his family, featuring Ajita (tablas), Anupama (flute) and Bandhavi (violin), and Anupama’s group, and all-female instrumental ensemble. Also, two male vocal-instrumental groups, Arthada’s Group and Ashru Dhara. We round up this selection with a charming performance by a group of Sri Chinmoy Students from Britain and France, followed by two all-female groups, My Rainbow-Heart and Paree’s International Group, and a duo performance by Shailaja and Akuli.
We hope you enjoy the soulful, meditative quality of these musical offerings.
During Sri Chinmoy’s birthday celebrations, his students travel from all over the world, to celebrate Sri Chinmoy‘s birthday (he was born on August 27, 1931) in New York. The birthday celebrations are an opportunity to share inspiration and aspiration through activities such as these musical performances.
