Hello listeners. I’m still here in Malaysia enjoying the opportunity to reflect in stillness and silence on the hustle and bustle of everyday life. At times one can get so caught up in the frenzy of life that one can’t be blamed for burning out and forgetting the important things in this world. I find that Sri Chinmoy’s stories can act like a vehicle to take us away from the busy world – the world of the mind – to the truth-flooded world of the heart, full of joy and delight.
I am joined for this episode by three guests: two brothers from England, and one Australian. It was a lot of fun for us all and we hope you enjoy the stories.

The Zamindar’s Servant
Sahadava Torpy joins me for this story in which a wealthy village Zamindar decides to test the honesty of his servant. With the help of a close friend, the Zamindar discovers the true nature of this young boy, and also proves his wife wrong.
The Old Lady Who Cried Bitterly During The Sermon
A short and funny story about the effect of a priest’s sermon on a member of his congregation. In the end it is the priest that needs consoling at the end of his Sunday service.
The Hooligan Chief
A true story about one of India’s great patriots of the past. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was unflinching in his efforts against the British rule. At the risk of putting his own life in great danger he would help those who needed it, and with his words he fuelled the spirit of a nation.
The Pilgrimage
A very funny story about two greedy neighbours who set of on a pilgrimage together. Unable to share even a morsel of food, their days end in utter frustration. So their wives, disappointed in their husbands’ characters, hatch a plan to teach them a lesson they won’t forget. Devashishu Torpy and Tejaswi Van Der Walt join me in adding their talents to this classic story.
