Interviewed by Utpal Marshall in Thailand, Vijay speaks about the spiritual essence of music, and how music can offer spirituality to listeners. He also talks about his relationship with Sri Chinmoy. The recording also gives clips of Vijay singing and performing.. The beginning of this recording starts with a Raga performance by Vijay’s father, Pt. Uma Shankar Mishra who was also his teacher. His elder brother Dr. Madan Shankar Mishra, is professor of Music in University of Delhi, India.
