Translation of Jyoti Ananda
Light-Delight-Pranavananda,
The soundless sound AUM.
The heart-temple of the finite and the Infinite
Is adorned with the love-garland-necklace
Of Eternity’s Bliss infinite.
– Sri Chinmoy, from Journey’s Goal 11a
In this album Sri Chinmoy’s songs are interpreted in a most unique style. The music is celestial, peaceful and full of light. It is very conducive to meditation.
Question: What is the sound that music creates?
Sri Chinmoy: There are two types of music: earthly music and Heavenly music. There is also a third type, which is the Music of the Supreme. Earthly music stimulates the vital in us. Heavenly music illumines us and spreads the divinity within us. The Music of the Supreme fulfils the Reality within us.
“The Heavenly music
Flies all-where
In the vastness-sky.”
