Sri Chinmoy’s songs are so wide in number (over 18,000 now), that it is not hard to find a song that describes your feelings at any particular moment.

This particular song I find so poignant; it is perhaps my most soulful arrangement ever, and it describes precisely how I feel when my human nature stands in the way; when it blocks the path to my ultimate perfection-goal, God-realisation.
My gratitude to Sri Chinmoy for illumining my life.
Here is the translation, by Sri Chinmoy:
“My life, inner and outer,
Is utterly empty of beauty.
How can the shattered boat of my life-river
Ever reach God’s Beauty–Harbor?”
-Sri Chinmoy
