Sri Chinmoy plays masterful improvisations on two of his favorite instruments, the piano and the organ. These performances are from the CD “My Heart-Boat Sails”.
Sri Chinmoy‘s piano and organ improvisations are wonderful examples of spontaneity and freedom that come from meditation and a connection to the universal source of creativity. These improvised performances offer the listener a unique experience of movement, dynamism and peace.
Sri Chinmoy endeavoured to serve the aspiring heart of mankind with his creativity in many fields. As a writer, he wrote more than 1,500 books, which included poems, aphorisms, essays, talks, questions and answers, and stories.
As a composer, he composed over 20,000 devotional songs. He also played many musical instruments, and offered around 800 concerts, always free of charge, between 1984 and 2007.
In halls large and small, from Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Royal Albert Hall (six times), the Sydney Opera House, and many others, Sri Chinmoy sought to share moments of inner peace, light and joy with seekers from all over the world.
We hope that these musical offerings by Sri Chinmoy will resonate in the inner depths of your heart.
