In this recording from August 27, 1984, originally released as a cassette, Sri Chinmoy plays three instruments – the synthesizer, esraj and sitar. The occasion was his 53rd birthday.

In this recording, Sri Chinmoy adopts a strong improvisational style – an expression of musical freedom, unbound by any stylistic framework or musical convention.

His music is full of youthful enthusiasm. Yet there is an inner calmness inside this tapestry of notes. We hope you enjoy this performance as much as we do.
