The Songs of the Soul concert series was started in 2008 to share Sri Chinmoy’s legacy of music and spirituality with the public. Since then, the international Songs of the Soul musicians have offered over 200 concerts in 13 countries, the most recent being in Brazil in July 2018.

The Brazilian tour took place over one week, playing concerts in Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro and Niteroi. Over 30 musicians and organising crew from 13 different countries travelled to give these concerts. During the concerts, eight different performances of Sri Chinmoy’s music in a variety of styles – instrumental and singing, solo and group – combined to produce an evening that was thoroughly enjoyed by the almost 1600 spiritual seekers and music enthusiasts that attended the four concerts.
Here we present some excerpts from four of the performing groups. The organisers were very happy with the performances from both a musical and spiritual standpoint, and hope to produce a CD from the recordings of the four concerts.
