Sri Chinmoy’s 30th Esraj Anniversary

This live recording celebrates the 30th anniversary of Sri Chinmoy‘s first esraj performance in 1976.

The esraj has an ethereal quality which is difficult to describe. It has beauty and subtlety, yet it also has tremendous power. The sound of the esraj feels also like the sound of a crying heart, an aspiring heart that pines for the Truth, pines to reach the Goal of Goals, the Ultimate Beyond.
